Adam finally got a much needed Christmas break from his intensive language program. He had about 18 days off, so we decided to go to San Diego for a week to spend Christmas with Jenni's family. We visited Adam's sister, Heidi, and her family on the way down, since they live only 1.5 hours from San Diego. It was so nice to see them again. The boys are getting so big and fun to play with. Heidi entertained us with some music and we sat around catching up a little.
We stayed with Jenni's mom in San Diego and had a lot of fun with the family all week. All of Jenni's siblings (5 brothers and her) were together for the first time in about 7 or 8 years, as were all of the nieces and nephews except the 2 who live in Missouri. One of her brother's rented out a clubhouse for the Christmas Eve party with some extended family and a couple of friends.
Other than that, we mostly relaxed, enjoyed being with family, and had a little fun around San Diego. We walked around Balboa Park, went to the mall, went to the beach, and Adam had fun on a ride at Belmont Park. We also spent plenty of time visiting with Jenni's brothers, meeting some new additions, and playing with the nieces and nephew.
Overall, it was a pretty relaxing, enjoyable break. We were finally able to enjoy our Christmas gifts when we got home, and Adam had a little time to prepare before going back to his studies. We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!
